How To

What is a "Battery Pack" and how can it be replaced?

The main power source for your drone's motors is the battery pack. They provide enough power for your quadcopter to fly smoothly and safely.

You won't notice any differences between the battery packs in a new drone and the one you have before. But, over time, your battery pack will slowly become worn down. It might eventually stop functioning altogether. It is important to change the battery to make sure your drone works properly.

It is best to use the original component when replacing a batteries pack. Installing a defective battery pack can cause damage to your drone.

Follow these steps to replace a battery.

  1. Disconnect the battery connector cable. This ensures your drone doesn’t receive any electricity. Simply pull the cable from the drone to disconnect the battery connector.
  2. Unscrew and remove the battery pack. Unscrew the battery pack from the bottom of your quadcopter. The battery pack often splits into two pieces.
  3. Locate the contacts of your battery. After you've taken out the battery pack, search for the battery contacts. These tiny metal pins connect to the battery and other components of the drone.
  4. Install the new battery. Next, install the new battery into the drone. Align the connectors for the battery pack on each side. Next, insert the battery package onto the drone. Once the battery is in place, tighten all bolts.
  5. Reattach the connector cable to the battery. Connect the drone's battery connector cable once you have installed the new pack.
  6. Test the drone. Test your drone before flying it again. If it does, then congratulations!
