How To

Repairing A Damaged Motor Of A Drone

It is important to first identify which motor part is damaged before you can repair it. It is easy to do this by removing the propeller shaft from the motor shaft. Then you should remove any wires attached to the motor and look at the inner workings of the motor itself. If you see something wrong, then you know what part of the motor you have to fix.

You don't need to worry if there's no damage to your motor. However, a motor that looks like the one below will require you to replace certain components before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. To get the motor to turn again, you'll need to bend it. To hold the motor in place, you can use a pair or vice grips. After this is done, you should inspect the motor carefully for any signs or wear.

Once everything looks good, you can put the propeller back on the motor shaft. Then, reattach the wires. Your drone is now ready to fly!
